Initially, I had many ideas leading up to it about what images I wanted to make this year with myself. The result ended up just being the one that felt the most true to where I am right now and it came so easily to me.
The year is flying by on a slightly eerie note, with no signs of slowing up so I have just been focusing on what I can control.
How are you?
I hope you all are taking care of yourselves, despite all going on.
One way I have been taking care of myself and others simultaneously is through embracing permaculture. Volunteering at community gardens and local farms has helped me continue to cultivate and build confidence in my green thumb while also being of service in ways that are needed and valued. Building my family’s new garden from the ground up whilst sowing seeds is one of my ongoing projects, y’all :)
The more I am in nature and embracing dirty fingernails, the more I begin to notice a growing change in my perspective. I am intrigued by how this hands-on work is transforming my personal values, photography, and overall kreative practice.
